Lured by mountains and incredible pool of Swiss talent
Ma Cher will open its European head office in Vaud, Switzerland later this month.
Ma Cher custom designs and manufactures branded products in ways that are more sustainable, less wasteful, and more purpose-driven than many in their industry. Always partnering with clients to trial and test different ideas, they then use data to show how a product can create a sound business case and give customers a positive and tangible experience of the brand.
Already operating in Australia, UK and USA, Ma Cher works across global fashion, beauty, ecommerce and travel brands such as Athleta, Davines, MSC Cruises, Supergoop!, and The Travel Corporation.
A Certified B Corp since 2014, Ma Cher meets the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. Ma Cher aims to use its business as a force for good and help brands transition away from single use plastics, virgin materials and other non-regenerative materials.
Ma Cher’s President, Derek Hydon, who is relocating to Canton Vaud said: “Using data and research, we’ve been really successful at helping large companies see where they can remove barriers to sustainability and how that can be a profitable thing to do.”
Lured by the fresh mountain air, excellent transport links, and a host of existing clients in the region, establishing a European base in Switzerland was the natural next step for Ma Cher. “Pretty much everyone here has heard about the B Corp movement. There’s real potential for greater collaboration, where businesses like ours can learn and spur others to do even more. There are a lot of brilliant minds here helping to find answers to crucial climate challenges. That is an exciting prospect for us.” Hydon continued.
