B Corp Month – Our Customers

B Corps are a growing movement of over 4000 companies around the world. We are using the power of business as a force for good. To become a B Corp, a company needs to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

As a Certified B Corp since 2014, MaCher commits to positively impact all stakeholders in our business.  We believe that strengthening the interconnections between our workers, communities, customers, suppliers and our planet, creates all the value in what we do.

Now in B Corp month, we wanted to share some of our stakeholder stories.

Our Customers

We are lucky that so many of the customers we work with ‘get’ us. They understand our principles because many of them share our values. In fact, we feel privileged to have a number of Certified B Corps as our clients and partners.

For over 30 years we have created loyalty and promotional gifts for established brands.  We’ve designed and manufactured these gifts to coveted and used for life, in certified supply chains and with sustainable materials.  We have always tried to do the right thing to provide the best workplace, care for our environment and positively help others.

MaCher has always looked to create ripples of change much larger than itself. Through customer stakeholder partnerships with brands, change can happen on the scale and with the impact that is needed for the world. Indeed, the progress of the UN Sustainable Development Goals can only be achieved through the vision of SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals.

B Beauty Coalition

It is for this reason that we are so excited to be able to work with our longstanding clients, Arbonne, Davines and Innersense Organic Beauty, on the B Corp Beauty Coalition or ‘B Beauty’.

In January, 33 Certified B Corps across 8 countries and 4 continents formed a coalition with the aim of influencing the beauty industry. We want to trigger changes that improve its social and environmental footprint. All companies involved have committed to invest our time and efforts to improve four key areas:

  • ingredient sourcing and sustainability;
  • greener logistics;
  • packaging responsibility;
  • consistent and clear external messaging that customers can understand and trust

We have worked with companies in the beauty industry for over 30 years. We know that there is a lot of work still to be done to improve the environmental and social sustainability of products and packaging.

Businesses have to take responsibility for their role in creating climate change and systemic inequities. We are each dependent upon another and responsible for future generations.  Shifting the beauty industry towards a more regenerative and zero-carbon future is an imperative. We look forward to being part of this important coalition.

If you would like to know more about the B Beauty Coalition or any of our other partnerships with our customers, please contact MaCher.
