MaCher Diversity and Inclusion Policy
Our Commitment
At MaCher, we are committed to creating and maintaining a workplace filled with diverse experiences, where all team members feel valued, understood, and empowered. This commitment extends beyond our internal culture to encompass our entire value chain, from suppliers and partners to the communities we serve.
Our Philosophy
We believe that fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (JEDI) is not only the right thing to do—it’s essential to our success as a business. Diverse teams are proven to outperform homogeneous teams by 35% on financial returns, and this diversity of thought and experience drives innovation, enhances decision-making, and helps us better serve our clients and communities.
Our Pledge
We pledge to create a workplace and value chain where every person can bring their whole, authentic selves to work and feel valued for their unique perspectives and experiences. We commit to dismantling systemic barriers, addressing bias, and taking measurable action toward equity. We will hold ourselves accountable through transparent reporting, continuous learning, and the courage to evolve our practices as we deepen our understanding of justice and inclusion.
Anti-Racism Statement
We stand against oppression and racism in all forms.
We acknowledge intersectionality and how it affects access to opportunities as well as experiences of discrimination. At MaCher, we continue to take action to address systemic racism and practices that oppress or discriminate. Our team supports each other by listening to our lived experiences and working on how we can provide an environment where every person’s perspective is welcomed and valued.
We are committed to building awareness of the biases we may hold and the ways we can practice allyship, dismantle patriarchal and white supremacist actions, and commit to creating a culture of lifelong learning.
Our Four Pillars of Inclusion
1. Deconstructing Bias
Implicit biases can lead to others being overlooked or undervalued. By recognizing and building our awareness of the bias that exists in our thinking, we are better equipped to alter our practices and policies to be more inclusive.
2. Feeling Welcome
To attract diversity of thought and experiences, it’s important to us that we can demonstrate our workplace is where people will feel accepted for being their whole self.
3. Building Empathy
We believe demonstrating empathy is a vital skill of leadership and is necessary to collaborate more effectively and improve the dynamics of our relationships.
4. Feeling Valued
Every team member should feel that their growth and development is our priority, and we are invested equally in everyone. We want to practice leading with curiosity and drawing on multiple perspectives and life experiences.
Our Commitments and Actions

We are working toward workforce representation across employees and contractors that reflects the demographics of our community, within a 5% margin for racial and ethnic diversity by 2030.
